According to Diaro Sport, Everton have set a deadline of three days for Barcelona to respond to their offer for defender Jean-Clair Tobido.
The central defender is currently on loan at Bundesliga side Schalke.
The Germans, however, reportedly can’t afford to pay his buyout clause which gives Everton a chance to sign the youngster this summer.

Sport claim the Toffees have bid around £22 million for Tobido and have given Barcelona three days to respond otherwise they intend to withdraw their offer.
The Catalans, meanwhile, are stalling in the hope they receive a better offer elsewhere.
Tobido has proven to be a top-quality defender during his short loan spell in Germany.
The 20-year-old moved to Schalke in January. He has made eight appearances for the club, averaging 2.2 tackles and 3.5 clearances per game (Whoscored).
His form and apparent availability has attracted interest from Inter and Juventus. Sport add Barca are hoping the duo will launch a bid surpassing Everton’s offer.
The Toffees, meanwhile, will be keen to bolster their defence this summer.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side conceded 46 Premier League goals prior to the Covid-19 suspension.
While Mason Holgate has impressed, fellow defenders Michael Keane and Yerry Mina have endured inconsistent campaigns on Merseyside.
Tobido has an abundance of potential and would likely be a first-team regular at Everton.
