Liverpool continue to be linked with Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen.
According to Catalan newspaper SPORT, Barcelona are willing to let goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen leave for around €30million (£26.5million) this summer.
Barca swooped to land Cillessen from Ajax in the summer of 2016 after selling Claudio Bravo to Manchester City, with the Dutchman brought in as cover for Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.
Whilst Cillessen, 29, had been a regular for the Netherlands, he has been a bit-part player for Barcelona, making just 21 appearances in two years having mostly played in cup competitions.
Now, with Ter Stegen not budging any time soon, Cillessen may be looking to move on – and Barcelona will slash his asking price from €60million (£53million) to €30million (£26.5million) this summer.
SPORT report that Barcelona are willing to facilitate a move, and whilst a host of clubs are keen, they are anticipating difficult talks with Liverpool if they come calling for his signature.
After months of negotiations to sign Philippe Coutinho from the Reds, Barcelona allegedly think talks over Cillessen would be similarly tough, even with a price slash expected.
Liverpool are expected to be in the market for a goalkeeper after Loris Karius’ horror show against Real Madrid in the Champions League final, and Cillessen would give Jurgen Klopp an experienced option.
Cillessen is also familiar with Virgil van Dijk and Georginio Wijnaldum from international duty, and could be a safe pair of hands for the Reds – but it remains to be seen whether the Reds firm up their interest this summer.
