According to Mundo Deportivo, West Ham United now want to sign Barcelona goalkeeper Norberto Neto this summer.
It’s claimed that West Ham could move for Neto after qualifying for the Europa League, with Barcelona looking to sell.
They allegedly want to bring in around €12million (£10.5million) for Neto – a major loss on what they paid to sign him from Valencia in 2019.
SPORT claim that Barca spent €26million (£22.5million) on Neto, and that Everton are keen to sign him.
It’s now West Ham being linked with a move to sign Neto, who asked to leave Barca way back in the January transfer window according to Ronald Koeman.
The Brazilian stopper was branded ‘brilliant’ by Marcelino back at Valencia, but has struggled for first-team action with Barca, mostly just backing up Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.
Mundo Deportivo suggested over the weekend that Arsenal could be a suitor too, meaning there is mounting Premier League interest.
West Ham do have two international goalkeepers in Lukasz Fabianski and Darren Randolph, but David Moyes may be keen on adding another shot-stopper – and could rival both Arsenal and Everton now they’re the only one of the three with European football this season.
