The Arsenal striker is a reported transfer target for Barcelona.

Alexandre Lacazette of Arsenal holds off Antonio Rudiger of Chelsea during the Carabao Cup Semi-Final Second Leg at Emirates Stadium on January 24, 2018 in London, England.

According to a report from Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are interested in signing Arsenal hitman Alexandre Lacazette this summer.

The 27-year-old joined the Gunners from Lyon in the summer of 2017, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £46.5 million, according to BBC Sport, and he has since gone on to score 35 goals in 85 appearances in all competitions for the north London outfit.

Lacazette is a vital player for Arsenal, and Unai Emery will surely resist any approaches for the Frenchman’s signature.

Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona have identified the Gunners hitman as a cheaper alternative to Antoine Griezmann, however, and they could make a move for him this summer.

Andre Gomes, Lucas Digne, Samuel Umtiti and Sergi Samper during the presentation of the Barcelona team 2016-17, held in the Camp Nou stadium, on august 10, 2016.

The Spanish publication suggests that Barca will either make a £60 million for for Lacazette, or offer Arsenal the services of Andre Gomes and Samuel Umtiti in return for the Frenchman’s signature.

Whether that will be enough to tempt the Gunners into selling, however, remains to be seen.
