Barcelona are interested in signing Alexandre Lacazette from Arsenal if they are unable to secure the services of Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, according to El Gol Digital.

It has been reported by the Spanish news outlet that Barcelona want to bring Aguero to Camp Nou on a free transfer in the summer of 2021.

However, if the Spanish and European giants are unable to reach an agreement with the Argentina international striker over salary, then they will look at Arsenal’s Lacazette as a potential alternative, according to the report.

Could Alexandre Lacazette be tempted by Barcelona?

Barcelona are one of the biggest clubs in the world and remain an appealing team even though they have not been great in the Champions League in recent seasons and may not win the La Liga title this campaign.

Lionel Messi may not be at Camp Nou next season, but the Blaugrana still remain an attractive club.

Although Lacazette is an important player for the Gunners, the fact of the matter is that he is not the main man upfront. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is.

The 29-year-old France international striker could find the prospect of moving to Barcelona very tempting if he is assured of playing regularly down the middle.

According to WhoScored, the striker has scored 10 goals and provided two assists in 18 Premier League starts and has scored one goal in five Europa League games for Arsenal so far this season.
