FC Barcelona have reportedly struck a deal to sign Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin, with the fullback to join the European giants for free as the Gunners prepare to terminate his contract.
According to Relevo, Barcelona have decided to sign Bellerin after talks with numerous right-backs, with Sergino Dest set to join for AC Milan as Xavi Hernandez looks to bring in a replacement, with the Arsenal star the player the La Liga side have chosen.

As per Relevo, talks are ongoing to get the deal over the line with Arsenal working on terminating Bellerin’s contract, with the defender set to follow a similar path as Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Willian in leaving the north London side way before their deal is set to expire.
With Ben White taking the right-back spot this season with Takehiro Tomiyasu and Cedric Soares still on Arsenal’s books, releasing Bellerin makes a lot of sense for Arsenal, with Barcelona not in the financial position to recruit the defender for an actual transfer fee despite the Catalan side working on a deal to sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Bellerin’s departure from Arsenal has felt like an eternity to conclude, yet finally it appears that Barcelona will sign the right-back after months of speculation and rumours in a deal that will work wonders for all parties involved, especially the 27-year-old fullback.
After all, Bellerin needs to be playing regular football ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and at Arsenal, the defender simply will not feature for Mikel Arteta’s side given the depth the Basque manager has at his disposal in the right-back position.
