Newcastle United striker Ayoze Perez’s future is currently unclear.

Perez’s future at St. James’ Park is currently up in the air, with a great deal of uncertainty over whether he will be at the club next season.
However, the Chronicle have been told that Perez is happy at Newcastle – but wants to see improvements.
“If Newcastle took the step to change and fight, fulfilling its potential, Ayoze would be happy to continue because it’s a fantastic place to play,” a source close to the player told the local paper.
“Although he has a contract until 2021, it’s a matter of fighting for bigger things – not just staying in the Premier League.
“He is Spanish and he would like to go back to Spain if there were teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid or Valencia interested. But he did not say he wants to leave – he just wants to improve.”

Whether Newcastle will show Perez enough desire to improve as much as he is hoping for remains to be seen.
Newcastle did spend money in January, but whether Mike Ashley will be prepared to invest again is still unclear.
Benitez’s future is also currently up in the air, as he has not signed a new contract.
Benitez is keen to see that Newcastle have the tools to progress, much like Perez.
The Magpies are currently in 14th place in the Premier League table, but look relatively safe above the relegation zone.
