Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen still has not signed a new contract at White Hart Lane.

Eriksen has under a year left on his contract at Spurs, and will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season, if he doesn’t pen new terms.
Diego Simeone is now reportedly open to the idea of bringing the Tottenham playmaker in at the end of the season.
It has previously been suggested in the Daily Star that Eriksen wanted a move to Spain, but his initial preference was to move to Atleti’s capital rivals Real Madrid.
If Spurs do fail to get Eriksen to commit his future he will surely be one of the most in-demand players in the world next summer.

Eriksen has proven his worth to Tottenham already this season, after putting in excellent performances against Aston Villa and Arsenal, despite uncertainty over his future.
If Eriksen does leave Tottenham for Atletico Madrid he could link up with Kieran Trippier again, with the right-back making the switch to the La Liga side for £20 million in the summer (BBC Sport).
