Tottenham Hotspur appear to be all alone in the race for Giovani Lo Celso.

According to AS, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich have both decided to back away from Real Betis playmaker Giovani Lo Celso – leaving Tottenham as the frontrunners for his signature.
Lo Celso, 23, starred on loan at Betis from Paris Saint-Germain last season, smashing 16 goals from an attacking midfield role whilst also grabbing four assists.
The Argentinian’s move was turned permanent this summer, but Betis may turn a quick profit, with Tottenham desperate to sign him.
Intriguingly, it’s now claimed that Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich will avoid a move for Lo Celso, with Atletico having other priorities and Bayern feeling he’s overpriced.
The pair were interested but are now backing away, leaving Spurs seemingly all alone in the race to sign the midfielder this summer.
Betis want more than the €50million (£45million) Spurs are putting down at the moment, but with Nabil Fekir signed as his replacement and Borja Iglesias wanted, Betis need to sell.

Spurs are clearly hoping to use that knowledge to grind the price down, and learning that they’re all alone in the race for Lo Celso’s signature is another source of power for Spurs.
They know there won’t be other clubs looking to hijack their move, barring a late U-turn, and many will expect to see Lo Celso arrive at Tottenham this summer, once Daniel Levy has been through his usual brinkmanship in negotiations.
