The Sheffield United striker was transfer-listed at the end of last season and has already attracted interest from Oxford United.

Fleetwood Town's Ched Evans looks on during the Sky Bet League One match between Fleetwood Town and Burton Albion at Highbury Stadium on December 15, 2018 in Fleetwood, United Kingdom.

The Sheffield United striker, Ched Evans, is wanted by at least five clubs, according to the Mirror.

Evans was transfer-listed following the Blades’ promotion to the Premier League.

But the newspaper claims that United are ready to sanction the 30-year-old’s departure for free.

None of Evans’ alleged suitors are mentioned within the Mirror’s report, although Oxford United recently confirmed their interest in the player who spent last season on loan to Fleetwood Town.

Evans starred in his first spell at Sheffield United, which ended abruptly with the Welshman’s conviction for rape.

But having served a two-and-a-half-year sentence, Evans was then found not guilty at a retrial.

He later re-signed for Sheffield United, via a spell at Chesterfield, but has only appeared 13 times for the Blades since then, without scoring.

Evans still has a year left on his contract with Chris Wilder’s side, who are being strongly linked with moves for strikers Lys Mousset, Neal Maupay and Oli McBurnie.

Where will Evans end up post-Sheffield United?
