Aston Villa striker Scott Hogan is set to leave the club.

According to the Daily Mail, Aston Villa striker Scott Hogan is in talks with Stoke City about a loan move to the bet365 Stadium.
Hogan, 27, joined Villa from Brentford for a huge £12million in January 2017 (BBC), having smashed 14 goals in 27 games in the first half of the 2016-17 season.
The striker was seen as a major addition for Steve Bruce’s side at the time, but his record for the club stands at just 10 goals in 61 games.
After spending the second half of last season on loan at Sheffield United, Hogan’s future looked bleak, and the signing of Wesley kept him down the pecking order.
Now, it’s claimed that Hogan is in talks with Stoke City about a loan move before Thursday’s transfer deadline, with Nathan Jones keen to bolster his attacking options.
Sam Vokes and Benik Afobe started up top in the defeat to Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, and Republic of Ireland international Hogan is on the radar to boost the Potters.

Chelsea’s Izzy Brown is now wanted too, with Stoke seeking a couple of major reinforcements ahead of the deadline in just over 24 hours time.
Villa fans though that Hogan may see a change in his fortunes at Villa Park when Dean Smith arrived as manager in October, as Smith was his Brentford boss when he was so prolific.
That hasn’t materialised, and having allowed him to leave in January, Hogan can now move on again, surely spelling the end of his Villa career – even with his former boss at the helm.
