According to the Birmingham Mail, Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens are both relictant to sanction a move for Aston Villa target John Terry.

Villa’s new owners have been quick to change the transfer policy at Villa, with more younger players targeted.

The claret and blues are said to be reluctant to invest in players over the age of 30, even though Steve Bruce tends to favour experience over youth.

Villa, in recent times, have had no problems with bringing in veterans and it has cost them financially.

Bruce is still said to be arguing that Terry should be brought back to Villa Park this summer, as he remains a free agent.
