Aston Villa are believed to be trying to bring John Terry back to Villa Park, after his impressive season last term.

Villa’s new owners have been quick to change the transfer policy at Villa, with more younger players targeted.
The claret and blues are said to be reluctant to invest in players over the age of 30, even though Steve Bruce tends to favour experience over youth.
Villa, in recent times, have had no problems with bringing in veterans and it has cost them financially.
Bruce is still said to be arguing that Terry should be brought back to Villa Park this summer, as he remains a free agent.

Terry spent last season at Villa and became a fans’ favourite through his performances.
Bruce now wants the former England international back, but he needs to convince Sawiris and Edens that making a move would be the right option.
The Birmingham Mail believe that Sawiris and Edens could be willing to sanction a move for Terry, but right now Bruce needs to change the Villa’s owners’ minds about the transfer.
