The Aston Villa midfielder will reunite with his older brother at Birmingham Cuty.

Gary Gardner is joining Birmingham City on loan from Aston Villa, according to the Daily Mail’s live blog (Thursday 9th August, 10:13).
The temporary move – Gardner’s seventh since graduating Aston Villa’s academy system – will see the 26-year-old reunited with older brother Craig at Birmingham.
The younger Gardner spent the bulk of last season on loan to Barnsley and finds his Villa chances increasingly limited after John McGinn’s arrival from Hibernian on Wednesday.
Birmingham had a transfer embargo lifted earlier this week, although some restrictions remain in place at St Andrew’s.

The Blues were permitted to sign five new players, either on loan or free transfers, within a salary cap.
And Gardner could be the fourth to arrive, after Connor Mahoney, Omar Bogle and Lee Camp.
The older Gardner – who like his brother was born in Solihull – also began his career at Aston Villa and is in his second spell at Birmingham, having played for Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion in between.
