Aston Villa have reportedly had a bid rejected for Bury defender Jacob Bedeau.
According to the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa have failed with a £750,000 bid for Bury defender Jacob Bedeau – and the League One side want seven figures.
Villa are expected to be busy in the transfer market with just over a week to go until the deadline, and The Mirror report that deals for Barnsley duo James Bree and Conor Hourihane are close to completion.

Manager Steve Bruce is looking for players who can make an immediate impact, but Villa are also interested in signing a player for the future in Bury defender Jacob Bedeau.
The Birmingham Mail report that Villa have offered £750,000 for teenager Bedeau, but that offer has been rejected – and Bury are looking for a seven-figure deal in order to sell their star youngster.

It’s stated that Bury are waiting to see whether Villa return with a second bid, but having such a huge bid rejected for a 17-year-old prospect may put Bruce’s men off making an improved offer.
Bedeau was released by Leyton Orient over the summer, and Bury picked him up before throwing into first-team football, as the centre back has seven appearances already this season.
The centre back looks to have a bright future ahead of him, and Villa were seemingly hoping to make sure that his future lies at Villa Park, but their first bid has now been snubbed.
The report adds that Liverpool and Manchester United are also keen on Bedeau, meaning that Villa may have to move quickly with a second bid if they want to land the young defender.
