Aston Villa’s coaching team are all said to be big fans of Ross Barkley, but it has yet to be decided whether he will be kept at the club next season, the Athletic report.
Villa signed Barkley on loan from Chelsea over the summer and he has quickly impressed at Villa Park.
The attacking midfielder has played an important role for Dean Smith’s side this term, with his performances earning him a lot of credit.
However, despite Villa’s coaching staff enjoying working with Barkley, no decision has been made over his future yet.
Chelsea may want a sizeable fee for Barkley if he was to sign permanently, and his wage demands are also likely to be sizeable.

If Barkley was to return to Chelsea at the end of the season that may be a disappointment to many at Villa now, though.
The England international has made himself a very popular figure with Dean Smith’s side, and his partnership with Jack Grealish has certainly increased Villa’s attacking threat.
