Aston Villa are attempting to sign Oliver McBurnie from Swansea City until the end of the season.

Ayew is set to arrive at Swansea from West Ham United today in an £18 million transfer.
And Ayew’s arrival will knock McBurnie further down the pecking order at the Liberty Stadium, which could play right into Villa’s hands.

The claret and blues have targeted McBurnie, after missing out on signing Leonardo Ulloa from Leicester City.
The Swansea youngster has been handed a handful of Premier League appearances this term and is highly regarded.
Villa are on the look out for a new forward, although Scott Hogan’s form in recent weeks has been impressive.

Steve Bruce’s side won 1-0 against Sheffield United last night, to boost their promotion chances.
Villa are also being heavily linked with Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban in the Mail, as they chase a deadline day addition.
