It has been reported that Villa are working on a loan move for the Arsenal defender.
Jenkinson is good and promising player, but his progress has been somewhat stunted due to competition for places and injury.
The right-back had been on loan at West Ham United for the past two seasons and is now back at Arsenal.
It would be a step-down for the 24-year-old to leave Premier League title contenders Arsenal to join Championship outfit Villa.
However, at this stage of his career, Jenkinson needs to play regularly and regain his form.
Villa are aiming to get promoted back to the Premier League after getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.
Under manager Steve Bruce, the Villans’ performances and results have improved, and now they are clearly genuine contenders for the playoffs.
Jenkinson has been able to feature just once in the Premier League for Arsenal so far this season.
