Chris Samba is training with Aston Villa and the club are prepared to give him a contract despite signing John Terry.
Chris Samba is in Portugal with Aston Villa for pre-season training and the free agent is still hopeful he can earn himself a contract at the Championship club.
And according to the Birmingham Mail, the Villans are prepared to give the 33-year-old a deal if he impresses, despite the fact that John Terry has just joined.

It was thought that by giving Terry a one-year contract, and with the likes of James Chester and Nathan Baker already at Villa Park, Samba would have to look elsewhere for a new team.
Yet the former Blackburn Rovers and QPR defender is understood to be in good shape despite having not played a professional game for over eight months and there is still time for him to convince manager Steve Bruce.
Samba’s chances of earning a permanent deal will be increased if, as speculated, Tommy Elphick and Micah Richards leave the club after both becoming frustrated with a lack of game time over the past 12 months.
The centre-back has been without a side since he was released by Panathinaikos in January. Samba has not played in England since leaving the Rs for Anzhi Makhachkala in the summer of 2013, spending the next three years in Russia before heading to Greece.
