The Colombian is likely to join Fiorentina on a permanent deal.
Aston Villa’s Carlos Sanchez looks dejected
In the summer Aston Villa decided to move on several of their less effective players in the wake of relegation to the Championship.
One such player was Colombian defensive midfielder Carlos Sanchez. The bullish midfielder was sent out to Fiorentina on a loan deal until the end of the season.
He has certainly had an impact in Florence. He has become a regular in the Fiorentina first-team, even moving back into the defence.
Now Fiorentina want to buy him permanently in the summer and will pay €2.75 million (£2.4 million) for the privilege – as reported by Firenze Viola.
Much talk recently has been of the future regarding one Villa loanee, in the form of Jordan Veretout – who is thriving at Saint-Etienne.
But Sanchez has been in equally impressive form in Italian football this term.

Undoubtedly he could have been of great benefit to Villa had he stuck around.
However, the club will now be hoping to bring in some new talent this summer with the £2.4 million they are set to bring in for the Colombian international.
