West Ham United, Aston Villa and Wolves are among the Premier League clubs taking an interest in £10 million Burnley midfielder Josh Brownhill ahead of the summer transfer window, according to TEAMtalk.
The late-blooming 25-year-old doesn’t often hog the headlines but what he lacks in star quality, he more than makes up for in work-rate, versatility and consistency.
When fit, Brownhill is one of the first names on the team-sheet for a coach who, in Sean Dyche, values those three attributes above all else.
But while the former Bristol City dynamo has flown under the radar somewhat since his £10 million move to Turf Moor in January 2020, his all-action performances have earned him the admiration of plenty of Premier League scouts.
TEAMtalk claim that Aston Villa, West Ham, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Crystal Palace and Southampton have all watched Brownhill in recent times.

Interestingly, Brownhill told the Daily Star (5th July, page 42) that he turned down a move to West Ham a year ago, insisting that Burnley felt like a more stable stepping stone for a man who had made his name in the Championship.
If the Hammers renew their interest this summer – after securing their place in Europe – Brownhill may struggle to reject their advances for a second time.
