Aston Villa continue to be linked with Celta Vigo midfielder Nemanja Radoja.

According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Aston Villa don’t want to wait to sign Celta Vigo midfielder Nemanja Radoja for free this summer.

Villa are in the market for new signings this month, and have already tied up a deal for Croatian international goalkeeper Lovre Kalinic from Gent.

Dean Smith remains on the prowl for additions though, and Serbian international midfielder Radoja is being strongly linked with the club.

Now, Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo claim that, whilst Villa can sign Radoja for free at the end of the season, they want him now – and are prepared to pay for a deal this month.

The 25-year-old has been completely frozen out by Celta this season having refused to sign a new contract with the club, and he will leave for free in the summer.

That’s unless a club comes in and buys him this month, and Villa are allegedly keen to get him on board as soon as possible, meaning a cash deal could be done.

It’s added that a deal would surely be cheap as Radoja can go for nothing in just a matter of months, meaning Villa could land themselves a bargain holding midfielder.

This appears to be the work of Villa scout Juanfran – a former Celta player – and director of football Jesus Garcia Pitarch, with Villa exploring the Spanish market.
