Aston Villa are interested in signing Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea in the summer of 2021, according to TEAMtalk.

It has been reported that Villa and Crystal Palace are leading the race for Loftus-Cheek, who is on loan at Fulham from Chelsea at the moment.

The report has added that the England international midfielder is not in the long-term plans of Chelsea, and that Villa assistant manager and Blues legend John Terry is a huge fan.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek to Aston Villa?

Fulham are likely to get relegated to the Championship at the end of the season, and it is hard to see Loftus-Cheek play in the second tier of English football.

If Chelsea do not want the English midfielder at the club, then a move to Villa would make sense, but at the right price.

The Villans are an ambitious club who could be challenging for the European places in the Premier League table on a regular basis in the coming years.

Loftus-Cheek is a very dynamic midfielder who can play in an attacking role or in a more conservative position.

According to WhoScored, the 25-year-old has made 21 starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League for Fulham so far this season, scoring one goal in the process.
