Aston Villa are reportedly chasing the signature of Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham.

According to the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa are interested in signing Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham on loan – but he wants to make a move to a Premier League club this summer.
Villa have endured a difficult summer, with major financial problems arriving after the 1-0 Championship play-off final defeat to Fulham, leading to speculation about players leaving.
Steve Bruce hasn’t been able to bring in new signings as a result, but new investment from Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens means Villa can not only keep key players, but also look to bring in new faces.
Now, the Birmingham Mail report that Villa want to bring in Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham on loan, with Bruce having major concerns about his attacking options heading into the new season.
The 20-year-old is allegedly holding out for a Premier League move, and whilst Villa have asked about a deal, they are waiting to hear back from Chelsea.
Abraham, 20, hit eight goals in 39 games on loan for Swansea City last season, and whilst he earned his first England cap in November, he ended up having a disappointing season in South Wales.

That means that he is no closer to the Chelsea first team, and a loan move looks to be on the cards this summer, with Villa willing to offer him first-team football this season.
Keinan Davis, Scott Hogan and Rushian Hepburn-Murphy are all out injured whilst concerns linger over Jonathan Kodjia’s fitness, meaning a new striker is needed – and Bruce will hope that Abraham arrives to solve his problems.
