Hull City striker Abel Hernandez is said to be on Aston Villa’s transfer wishlist this summer.

According to a report in The Times, and as cited by the Hull Daily Mail, Aston Villa have offered Hull City a trade deal for Abel Hernandez.
Villa are willing to part ways with Rudy Gestede and money to secure the transfer of Hernandez.
Villa have been looking to bring in a new striker all summer, but so far their attempts have proven unsuccessful.
However, Roberto Di Matteo has now reportedly made Hernandez his top target, as the Claret and Blues step up their efforts to convince a front man to move to Villa Park before the start of the season.

Hernandez scored 20 goals for Hull in the Championship last term, as he helped them earn promotion.
Gestede has also been prolific in the second tier before, when playing for Blackburn Rovers – but Villa reportedly feel that he is surplus to requirements.

Villa have made three signings so far this summer, and owner Tony Xia has confirmed that they are hunting for an attacking midfielder as well as a striker.
