Aston Villa owner Tony Xia is looking to purchase more than one football club.

According to a report in the Birmingham Mail, new Aston Villa owner Tony Xia intends to set up feeder clubs across Europe to help Villa attract the top youngsters.
Xia wants to buy football clubs across different countries, to create a network of teams.
Villa would then be free to loan out their prized prospects across Europe to ensure that they got first-team football.
Chelsea have used a similar model – as they loan many of their young players out to Vitesse to aid their progression.
Xia’s plans are still a long way off, but they form part of his model to help Villa have an exciting future.
Villa have been starved of success over recent times, but Xia has already stated his aim to help them start competing for Europe, after returning them to the Premier League.
Xia’s takeover at Villa is currently only awaiting ratification from the Football League and Premier League before being completed.
One of Xia’s first major actions at Villa is expected to be to appoint Roberto Di Matteo is the club’s next manager.
