Aston Villa could take Tottenham Hotspur target Jack Grealish off the market if they are promoted.

Grealish was heavily linked with a move to Tottenham last summer, but a fee could not be agreed between the two sides.
The playmaker has now gone on to enjoy a wonderful season at Championship level, where he has been the driving force behind Villa’s success.
Grealish has proven beyond all doubt his loyalty to Villa, but there is a realisation at the Midlands club that a player of his quality needs to be playing in the Premier League, and with Tottenham lurking a sale may have to be made.
If Villa are promoted to the top flight then their need to sell is obviously reduced.

However, the claret and blues are open to a sale if they fail to win promotion, and will demand £35 million for Grealish from Tottenham.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men are still keen on the attacking midfielder, and they have an intent to spend this summer.
Spurs may now be watching Villa’s progress in the play offs very closely, with Smith’s side’s place in the top six in the Championship already secured.
