Aston Villa defender James Chester is reportedly wanted by Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that a number of clubs in the Premier League are ready to offer £8m for the former Manchester United prospect.
The report has claimed that technical director Steve Round has rejected a serious inquiry from Premier League side Brighton for the centre-back.

Exit inevitable?
Chester was one of the best players for Villa in the Championship this past season, and (reported) interest in the 29-year-old centre-back does not come as a surprise.
The 29-year-old is a very experienced footballer who is a no-nonsense defender, and he would be a smart signing for any club in the Premier League.

With Villa having failed to win promotion from the Championship, the Villans are likely to lose Chester in the summer transfer window.
Chester has been on the books of Villa since the summer of 2016 when he joined from Wes Bromwich Albion for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £9 million.
