Dean Smith’s Aston Villa side are set to take on Everton on Friday evening.

According to the Express and Star, Aston Villa could be without Kortney Hause, James Chester and Jonathan Kodjia on Friday evening.

Villa are set to host Everton in their next match, as Dean Smith’s side still look for their first victory.

Unfortunately for Villa, they will not be boosted by the return of any of their injured players.

Chester and Hause have both been out since pre-season, while Kodjia is a doubt due to an ankle problem.

Smith claimed that Kodjia could be a big player for Villa in the Birmingham Mail this season.

“I feel Jonathan Kodjia’s game is more suited to the Premier League than it was the Championship. I think he can be a big player for us this season,” he said.

However, Kodjia’s chances have been thwarted by injury so far, which has been a blow to Smith’s side.

With Wesley struggling for Villa, Kodjia may have had a chance at starting against Everton.

But it seems that Kodjia could still be sidelined on Friday night, leaving Smith’s options limited in the striker position.
