Douglas Luiz will reportedly join Aston Villa from Manchester City.

According to The Telegraph, Aston Villa are set to sign Douglas Luiz from Manchester City in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that Villa – who will play in the Premier League next season after clinching promotion from the Championship via the playoffs – will pay £15 million to City to secure the services of Luiz.

The 21-year-old central midfielder will complete the move to the Villans in the next few days, with City having inserting a buy-back clause, according to the report.

Luiz joined City from Vasco da Gama in the summer of 2017, but the Brazilian central midfielder has not make a single appearance for the Premier League champions.

The 21-year-old has spent the past two seasons on loan at Girona in Spain, and his performances have been mixed.

According to WhoScored, Luis made 16 starts and seven substitute appearances in La Liga for Girona last season, while during the 2017-18 campaign, the central midfielder made one start and 14 substitute appearances in the league for the Spanish club.
