Stoke City reportedly want to sign James Chester from Aston Villa in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that Villa have turned down an offer of £10 million for Chester from Championship rivals Stoke in the summer transfer window.
The report has also claimed that the Villans – who reached the Championship playoff final last season – are now prepared to hand the 29-year-old central defender a new contract.
Good decision?
Chester is one of the best central defenders in the Championship, and for Villa to be successful next season, they need to retain his services.
Handing the Wales international central defender would be a great move for the Villans, and it will also show the fans that the club remain as ambitious as ever.

There are FFP issues surrounding Villa, but fans can be optimistic given the new investment that has come in.
With Steven Bruce in charge of the Villans, one should not surprised if Villa push for the Championship playoffs again next season.
