Aston Villa are still chasing Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton.

According to The Sun, Aston Villa have been told to fork out £10million to sign Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton this summer.
Villa have been the busiest Premier League club in the transfer market this summer, as they have now finalised 10 incoming signings.
Almost every position has received some attention, but Villa are still in the market for a new goalkeeper ahead of their return to the Premier League.
It’s now claimed that Villa have been told to pay £10million for Burnley stopper Heaton, but Villa are insisting they need to drop their asking price.
The 33-year-old may start the season behind Nick Pope anyway, and with one year left on his contract at Turf Moor, it’s understandable why Villa don’t want to pay an eight-figure fee.
Villa have already offered £7million for Heaton, but seemingly aren’t keen to bridge the £3million gap in valuations at this stage, meaning they may look elsewhere..

Heaton is a proven, reliable Premier League goalkeeper, and that’s just what Villa need, with Jed Steer inexperienced in the top flight and Lovre Kalinic struggling since arriving in January.
Heaton ticks all the boxes, but Villa’s stance given his age and contract situation may actually be the right one, and they may hope to simply bide their time before tempting Burnley into selling before the transfer deadline.
