McNair, 21, has been on the books with United since 2011, and has made a total of 27 first-team appearances for the Red Devils, but played just nine games last season.
Primarily a centre back, McNair showed his versatility this summer by playing in midfield for the Northern Ireland national team at Euro 2016, and his performances appear to have attracted interest.

The Daily Star report that Burnley, Celtic and Newcastle are all looking to land McNair on loan, and Villa have now joined the race for his signature.
United will want McNair to go to the club where he has the best chance of playing first-team football, so they will be choosing very carefully – and Villa will be hoping that they can fend off their rivals and secure McNair to plug the gap left by Clark.
