Carles Gil has struggled to break into Aston Villa’s first-team since joining.

According to a report in the Express and Star, Aston Villa are confident of receiving good money for Carles Gil.
Gil has spent the season on loan at Deportivo, and the Spanish side are reportedly willing to offer him a permanent offer.
Plenty of other clubs from Gil’s homeland are also interested, and Villa are now convinced that they can raise a sizeable amount of money for the attacking midfielder.

Steve Bruce’s side need to sell before they can buy this summer, with Villa looking to raise funds.
Bruce is desperate to add quality to his Villa side, but he knows that his budget is limited at the moment.
The claret and blues have put a number of their fringe players up for sale, with Gil seemingly having no future at Villa Park.

Gil is said to be eager to leave Villa, and Bruce does not want to stand in his way.
If Gil is sold, the funds raised from his departure should allow Bruce to bring in some new additions.
