Aston Villa have managed to get deals done for both Tom Heaton and Marvelous Nakamba.

Villa have agreed an £8 million fee with Burnley for Tom Heaton, who will immediately be brought in as Dean Smith’s side’s number one.

Heaton should bring experience and quality to Villa’s ranks, and he could be a wonderful addition.

The England international is surely an upgrade on Jed Steer, even though the current Villa stopper did perform brilliantly in the play offs.

Nakamba should also help to strengthen Villa’s midfield further.

Villa have seemingly been on the verge of signing the Zimbabwe international for some time, and the deal is finally creeping over the line now.

When Villa do complete the double swoop, they will have brought in 13 new players, in what has been a summer of huge change for the claret and blues.
