According to The Times, Aston Villa have placed Mile Jedinak, Glenn Whelan and Ahmed Elmohamady up for sale.

Villa’s financial problems means that they are now having to listen to offers for numerous players in their squad.

And Steve Bruce may even have to sell off the veterans in his team, to try and cut costs.

Although Villa would not receive big fees for any of the trio, getting their salaries off the wage bill could be crucial.

And the claret and blues are now reportedly willing to accept offers for Jedinak, Whelan and Elmohamady.

The trio all played key roles for Bruce’s side last term, and were prominent members of his starting line-up.

Bruce’s side are yet to start offloading players this summer, but a fire-sale is expected to take place at Villa Park, as they desperately attempt to raise funds.
