Aston Villa are reportedly hoping to convince West Ham United to send Robert Snodgrass out for another loan spell this coming season.

Snodgrass has endured a difficult time with the Hammers since his £10.2 million move to the club in 2017 – fee reported by BBC Sport. He struggled to make an initial impact and spent virtually all of last season on loan with the Villans.
However, with Villa, he was a superb addition to Steve Bruce’s squad, playing a key role in guiding the club to the play-off final in the Championship. It was defeat in that game that seemingly left the Villans with no hope of getting the Scotland international back for a second spell.
The report adds that if the Irons do decide to loan Snodgrass out ahead of the coming campaign, Villa are the team in the driving seat to bring him in.

It would provide a huge boost for Villa to get Snodgrass back this season given how influential he was last year. However, Manuel Pellegrini has given him plenty of opportunities in pre-season which suggests that he is considering keeping the former Leeds star in his ranks.
The Hammers are looking very strong in wide areas this summer, but there are likely to be some supporters who would like to see Snodgrass kept in the ranks as cover for some of their marquee signings.
