According to The Athletic, Aston Villa have some exciting plans for Norwich maestro Emiliano Buendía if they can lure him to Villa Park.
Dean Smith’s side are interested in signing the 24-year-old, who just made the Championship look seriously easy with 15 goals and 16 assists in 39 appearances.
Some Villans supporters might’ve feared that the Argentine would be a replacement for Jack Grealish.
However, The Athletic are claiming that Dean Smith plans to sign the South American to pair him alongside Aston Villa’s No.10.
That has the potential to be one of the most exciting duos in Europe.
Buendía – who Norwich want over £40 million for – won the Championship Player of the Year award, and is quite simply a magnificent footballer.

Even during Norwich’s relegation campaign in 2019/20, their No.17 impressed with seven assists to finish amongst the division’s best creators.
After a phenomenal season in the Championship, with Premier League experience under his belt, you could argue that he’s now better equipped to tackle England’s top-flight.

The Athletic add that Buendía is expected to depart Carrow Road, as he and his employers accept that this is the right time for a fresh challenge.
Arsenal are also keen on the former Getafe playmaker.
If Smith can pull this deal off, it would surely be among the signings of the summer.
