Dean Smith’s Aston Villa side have already brought in two new players during the January transfer window.

According to the Daily Mirror, Aston Villa are in the hunt to sign Chelsea’s Charlie Colkett.
Villa are reportedly prepared to offer Colkett the chance to play regularly in the hope of attracting him to Villa Park.
The young midfielder would initially join Villa on loan, with a view to making the move a permanent one, if it is a success.
Colkett is regarded as one of Chelsea’s better youngsters, but he has struggled to break into Maurizio Sarri’s side’s first team.
Colkett was sent out on loan to Shrewsbury Town earlier this season, but he only featured a handful of times before returning to Stamford Bridge.

Colkett is most comfortable in central midfield, and his passing range could make him an ideal fit for Dean Smith’s side.
Villa have already made two additions in January so far, with Kortney Hause and Lovre Kalinic both arriving at Villa Park.
