Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest reportedly want Dean Marney.

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Marney was released by Premier League club Burnley earlier this summer.
It has been reported by The Mirror (Transfer Live blog, 10:09am, Monday, July 16, 2018) that the 34-year-old former Hull City midfielder is training with Villa this week.
The report has also claimed that Forest have expressed an interest in signing the former England Under-21 international.
Villa manager Steve Bruce reportedly wants to sign Marney, but the former Hull boss will have to be patient as the Villans need to sell players before signing anyone, even on a free transfer.

Underwhelming signing?
Marney is in his mid-30s, and although the former Tottenham, Hull and Burnley midfielder is hugely experienced, he would be an underwhelming signing for Villa or Forest.
While Villa may be forced to sign free agents this summer and Marney fits that criteria, Forest have already made some signings this summer, and the Reds should look for a young player if indeed manager Aitor Karanka wants to recruit another midfielder this summer.
