Aston Villa continue to pursue Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Kortney Hause.

According to the Daily Mail, Aston Villa are negotiating a revised deal for Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Kortney Hause after injury concerns emerged.
Villa have already struck one big deal this month, bringing in Croatian international goalkeeper Lovre Kalinic from Gent as their new first-choice stopper.
Boss Dean Smith still wants other additions though, and a defender is certainly on his radar given his lack of options at centre back right now.
Villa have been heavily linked with a move to sign Wolves misfit Hause, but the 23-year-old has an injury which is causing some concern at Villa Park.
The Daily Mail now report that an initial permanent deal is now being renegotiated as Villa assess the injury, with Smith’s men now looking to take Hause on loan until the end of the season with a view to signing him full-time.
That would seemingly be ideal for Villa, giving Smith the defender he needs without committing to a permanent deal just yet given his current injury status.

Hause, 23, is predominantly a centre back, but can also play at left back, making him potentially ideal for Villa as he can fill two major problem positions for Smith and co.
The report also notes that West Brom had been looking to hijack Villa’s move at the last minute, but currently look set to miss out on the ex-Wycombe man barring a late surprise.
