Aston Villa are reportedly moving for Liverpool’s Sheyi Ojo.

According to The Guardian, Aston Villa have made a move to sign Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo before Thursday’s deadline, presumably in a loan deal.
Villa opened their Championship campaign on Monday night, coming from a goal down to beat Hull City 3-1 at the KCOM Stadium, with Tommy Elphick, Alan Hutton and Ahmed Elmohamady on the scoresheet.
Now, with boss Steve Bruce having funds to dip back into the transfer market, Villa are active in their pursuit of signings ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline, with a host of players being linked.
Joe Bryan, John McGinn and Lukas Nmecha could all arrive, and The Guardian add that Villa have also made a move for Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo.
Ojo, 21, joined Liverpool from MK Dons back in 2011, with the Reds paying a seven-figure fee to sign him as a teenager given that he was backed to become a superstar.
However, the wide man hasn’t lived up to that billing, as he has made just 13 first-team appearances for Liverpool, and spent last season on loan with Fulham, notching four goals and two assists in 22 games.

Now back with Liverpool, Ojo is unlikely to break into Jurgen Klopp’s first team, and a move this month looks to be on the cards, whether it’s permanently before Thursday or on loan before the end of the month.
Given that The Mirror recently claimed that Liverpool want around £15million for Ojo, a loan move seems to be on Villa’s agenda, and Bruce may be hoping to seal his signature in the next 48 hours.
