Unai Emery’s Aston Villa are interested in signing Caoimhin Kelleher from Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the summer transfer window, according to The Transfer Room.
Aston Villa linked with Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher
The report has claimed that Villa are among the clubs who are keen on securing the services of the 24-year-old Republic of Ireland international goalkeeper.
The Villans are looking at Kelleher as a potential replacement for Emiliano Martinez.
Martinez, who won the 2022 Qatar World Cup with Argentina, has been linked with moves away from Villa in the summer transfer window.
Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs linked with the former Arsenal goalkeeper.
The Transfer Room have reported that Villa will pursue Kelleher only if Martinez leaves.
The report has added that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp does not want to sell the goalkeeper.
However, the 24-year-old himself has asked to leave, and Liverpool will want £30 million for him.

Good potential move
In our view, leaving Liverpool for Aston Villa would not be a bad move for Caoimhin Kelleher.
Just look at Emiliano Martinez.
The Argentine was a back-up goalkeeper at Arsenal before he made the switch to Villa.
Since his move to the Villans, Martinez has become the number one goalkeeper for Argentina and has won the Copa America and the World Cup.
Kelleher has done well when he ha splayed for Liverpool, and we believe that he would flourish as the number one at Villa Park.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp described the 24-year-old “a top-class goalie” who is “calm” and “makes incredible saves” on Liverpool’s YouTube channel last year.
