Holland’s Tom Boere (L) celebrates scoring their second goal
Aston Villa have been linked with a move for Dutch striker Tom Boere this week. The Birmingham Mail reported that they were keeping tabs on the player ahead of a potential summer move for the 24-year-old – who is currently playing his football with FC Oss in Holland’s second tier.
But as soon as this link arrived, as soon as it appears to build up to nothing.
Because reports in Holland are now reporting that Boere will not be leaving the country this summer, but instead has agreed to join FC Twente.
Voetbal International reports that the striker has agreed to join the Eredivisie side. He will undergo a medical at the club tomorrow before reporting to his first training session on Thursday with his new club.

Aston Villa would have loved to sign the player, if he can be as impactful as he was last season. The former Gent youngster scored 34 goals in 39 games for the club as they finished 15th in the Eerste Divisie.
But it appears he is all set to remain in the Netherlands.
