Aston Villa have seemingly had a £10 million bid knocked back for Marvelous Nakamba.
Le Soir has reported that Marvelous Nakamba has been left angry by Club Brugge rejecting Aston Villa’s £10 million move for him.
The 25-year-old midfielder impressed for Zimbabwe at this summer’s Africa Cup of Nations, after The Chronicle reported that Villa were weighing up a £20 million offer.
And it looks like Nakamba would favour a move to the West Midlands after a report from Le Soir today.
The Belgian outlet claims that Nakamba feels Club Brugge broke a promise to him, over previously telling him that he could leave if a big offer was lodged, and the player has skipped training this morning.
The report adds that he will do ‘everything he can’ to leave the club.
Newcastle United have previously been linked but Aston Villa and FC Koln in Germany are the only two clubs to have bid for him, claims Le Soir
You can understand Brugge’s stance. They got £22 million for Wesley – who also joined the Villans – and they might feel as if Nakamba, who impressed against Monaco, Dortmund and Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last season, is worth similar money.
In the modern market, £10 million isn’t a great deal of money for a player of this quality and promise, and the Premier League club will more than likely have to pay significantly more.
