According to talkSPORT, Aston Villa have joined Leeds and Tottenham in the race to bring Noni Madueke to the Premier League.

What’s the story?

Well, the England Under-21 international is a man in demand right now, with Steven Gerrard personally scouting him at the King Power Stadium last night.

Madueke shone as PSV Eindhoven took on Leicester in the UEFA Conference League, adding another chapter to what has been a fine season.

So far this term, the 20-year-old – who is valued at £34m – has scored nine goals in 31 appearances, while also providing five assists.

It comes after the Evening Standard revealed Tottenham and Leeds are interested in signing the dynamic winger, who was once in the Spurs Academy.

Now, Aston Villa have joined the race, so it will be interesting to see which Premier League side manages to secure Madueke’s signature this summer.

In our view, Gerrard must’ve been impressed with what he saw from Madueke in the Midlands last night.

As SofaScore shows, the Londoner embarked on seven dribbles, while also making one key pass.

Aside from his attacking output, Gerrard will have taken note of Madueke’s defensive work.

The youngster impressively won five ground duels, as well as an aerial duel, as he made sure not to neglect his responsibilities tracking back.

It was a mature display, and at the age of just 20, the sky is the limit for the PSV Eindhoven gem.
