According to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 61, November 3, 2019), Aston Villa have joined Chelsea in the race for Ben Chrisene.

It has been reported by the British tabloid that German and European giants Bayern Munich are also interested in the 15-year-old Exeter City player.

It has been reported that the teenager spent last week training with Villa, with the midfielder able to switch clubs in January 2020 when he turns 16.

One for the future

Chrisene is a very talented and promising young midfielder who can only get better in the coming years, and there is no surprise that Villa, Chelsea and Bayern all are reportedly interested in securing the services of the 15-year-old.

It is hard to see the teenager play for the first team of any major club for the next three or four years – at least on a regular basis – and his decision on his next team should be based on where he can develop and progress the most in the youth system.
