Chelsea defender Gary Cahill is reportedly on the radar of Aston Villa.

It has been reported that Cahill is available on a free transfer, as the 33-year-old centre-back is set to leave Chelsea this summer.
Villa manager Dean Smith reportedly wants to bring the England international to Villa Park and reunite him with his former Chelsea teammate John Terry, who works as an assistant manager at the Villans.
Aston Villa move?
Cahill started his professional club football career at Villa and played for the Villans until 2008 before moving to Bolton Wanderers.
The England international centre-back was not exactly a massive success during his time at Villa Park, but the 33-year-old will be a smart signing for the Villans on a free transfer this summer.

The Telegraph reported in December 2018 that Villa held talks with Chelsea over the transfer of Cahill, but the deal was too expensive for them, with the defender earning £110,000 per week as salary.
Villa will play in the Premier League next season after winning promotion from the Championship via the playoffs.
