Aston Villa are interested in signing Ben Woodburn from Liverpool in the summer transfer window, according to The Telegraph.

It has been reported that Villa, who reached the Championship playoff final last season, want to sign Woodburn on a season-long loan deal from Premier League club Liverpool.

The Villans are reportedly in talks with the Reds and are favourites to secure the services of the 18-year-old forward – who earns £12,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com.

According to The Telegraph, Sheffield United and Wigan Athletic are also interested in Woodburn, but the Villans are reportedly in pole position.

Good signing for Aston Villa?

Woodburn is a very talented and promising young forward, and the Wales international would be a good signing for Villa.

The Villans need young and talented attacking players in their squad for the 2018-19 campaign, and the 18-year-old would be a good addition to the team.

While the youngster will have to work extremely hard to play regularly for the Villans and establish himself in Steve Bruce’s starting lineup, there is no doubt that he has the potential to be a success in the Championship.
