It now seems that Villa are still looking for young talent to add to their ranks, and they’ve been casting their on a 14-year-old trialist in recent weeks.
Slovakian agency Central Sport Management claim that one of their clients, teenager Matej Rosenberg, was spotted by a Villa scout whilst playing for Slovakia Under-15’s against Switzerland Under-15’s.

Rosenberg scored twice in a 4-2 win in that game, and he clearly did enough to impress Villa into handing him a trial spell at Villa Park – and he then appeared for Villa in an Under-16 match against Liverpool.
The report states that Villa have been left impressed by Rosenberg after he also featured in two training sessions for Villa with positive results.
The problem for Villa right now is that Rosenberg is only 14, and subsequently can’t sign terms with Villa just yet, meaning Steve Bruce will have to keep tabs on him until he turns 18.
In that time, other clubs may also register an interest in Rosenberg, meaning Villa will have to hope that their trial offer to the youngster will stand them in good stead to sign him in the future.
