Aston Villa are reportedly hoping to spark a bidding war for Jack Grealish.

According to the Daily Mail, Aston Villa are hoping that Everton and Liverpool get involved in the bidding for Jack Grealish – but he wants to move to Tottenham Hotspur to play under Mauricio Pochettino.
Grealish, 22, has come up through the ranks with boyhood club Villa, and whilst he lost his way at one point, he starred last season with three goals and six assists in 30 outings.
After missing out on promotion with a 1-0 Championship play-off final defeat to Fulham in May, Villa spiralled into a financial nightmare, and Grealish was seen as the most saleable asset in order to raise funds.
Tottenham Hotspur have been pursuing Grealish’s signature in a cut-price move, but fresh investment for Villa on Friday means that they are back in a position to demand around £35million for the playmaker.
The Daily Mail now report that they are hoping to see the likes of Everton, Liverpool and Manchester United join the race for Grealish, in the hope of sparking a bidding war for the attacking midfielder.
However, it’s stated that Grealish wants to work with Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham, and is keen to play Champions League football with Spurs rather than head elsewhere.

Liverpool would also be able to offer Champions League football, but with Naby Keita, Adam Lallana and Georginio Wijnaldum among the attacking midfield options at Jurgen Klopp’s disposal, Grealish may not fancy his first-team opportunities at Anfield.
Everton can’t offer any European football, whilst the No. 10 role there should be taken by Gylfi Sigurdsson, and it’s unclear just where Grealish would fit in under Marco Siva, with Spurs seemingly eyeing him up as competition and cover for Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli.
